Description
UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring a vascular sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging examinations under minimal physician supervision. The role includes carotid, extremity venous and arterial, abdominal Doppler, OB/GYN, general abdominal/body, grayscale, color, duplex, Doppler, and plethysmographic exams; patient preparation and communication; image documentation and PACS submission; contrast administration and monitoring; equipment quality control, maintenance coordination, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and training of students and new staff. An associate degree in diagnostic medical sonography or graduation from an accredited sonography program, ARDMS registration, RVT or RVS certification, and BLS certification are required, with RVT certification required within six months if not held at hire; two years of ultrasound experience is preferred.
