Description
The County is hiring a Vehicle Operator to perform skilled craft duties operating heavy construction vehicles and equipment for the construction and maintenance of county rights of way. Responsibilities include operating dump trucks, flatbed trucks, forklifts, compactors, and other equipment; loading and unloading vehicles; maintaining assigned vehicles; repairing roadways and sinkholes; managing site safety; maintaining maintenance records; providing emergency response, traffic control, and transporting equipment and materials. The role may supervise maintenance workers and may use asphalt racks for road resurfacing. Four operator levels are specified, with Class A or Class B commercial driver's license requirements and varying vehicle-operation experience.
