Description
Cainhoy Veterinary Hospital is hiring part-time Veterinary Assistants to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, treatments, and surgeries. The role includes safely handling and restraining animals, preparing and sterilizing examination and surgical areas, collecting laboratory samples, administering medications and vaccinations under supervision, feeding and exercising animals, maintaining medical records, communicating with pet owners, and keeping the clinic clean and stocked. Candidates must have previous experience working with animals in a veterinary setting, technical knowledge of disinfection, medication administration, and diagnostic equipment, and the physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately. The schedule is half days on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and alternating Saturdays, with pay of $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
