Description
Pound Ridge Veterinary Center is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal examinations, treatments, and surgeries. The role includes safely handling and restraining animals, preparing and sterilizing examination and surgical areas, collecting samples, administering medications and vaccinations under supervision, feeding and exercising animals, maintaining medical records, communicating with pet owners, and keeping the clinic clean and stocked. The position offers a four-day work week with Monday through Friday shifts from 7:45 AM to 5:30 PM and every other Saturday from 7:45 AM to 12:30 PM, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits. Previous veterinary experience is preferred, and the salary is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.
