Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in a full-service animal hospital. The role includes assisting with examinations, treatments, and surgeries; safely handling and restraining animals; preparing and sterilizing examination and surgical areas; collecting laboratory samples; administering medications and vaccinations under supervision; feeding, bathing, and exercising animals; maintaining medical records; communicating with pet owners; and keeping the clinic clean and stocked. The position requires at least one year of veterinary assistant experience, technical knowledge of disinfection, medication administration, and diagnostic equipment, and the physical ability to handle animals safely. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with pay of $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
