The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and veterinary technicians by coordinating patient flow, preparing and performing non-invasive procedures, educating clients, maintaining medical records, ensuring safe and sterile hospital environments, assisting with surgery, and mentoring paraprofessionals. The role requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, computer, and client-service skills, along with the ability to work with pets, handle physical demands, and work weekends, evenings, and holidays. One year of related experience is required, customer service experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
