Description
Northgate Animal Hospital is hiring full-time Veterinary Assistants to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient examinations, treatments, and surgeries. The role includes safely handling and restraining animals, preparing and sterilizing examination and surgical areas, collecting laboratory samples, administering medications and vaccinations under supervision, feeding and exercising animals, maintaining medical records, communicating with pet owners, and keeping the clinic clean and stocked. Candidates should have previous experience in a veterinary setting, knowledge of disinfection, medication administration, and diagnostic equipment, and the physical ability to handle animals safely. The schedule is a four-day work week from 7:20 AM to 5:45 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and pays $16.00 to $19.00 per hour.
