Description
Orlando Vets Eastwood is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing medical and surgical care to dogs and cats. The role includes assisting with examinations, treatments, and surgeries; safely handling and restraining animals; preparing and sterilizing examination and surgical areas; collecting laboratory samples; administering medications and vaccinations under supervision; feeding, bathing, and exercising animals; maintaining medical records; communicating with pet owners; and maintaining a clean clinic. The position requires at least one year of veterinary experience, technical knowledge of disinfection, medication administration, and diagnostic equipment, and the physical ability to handle animals safely. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and pays $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.
