Description
The Veterinary Assistant - Surgical (I) supports veterinarians and other assistants with surgical patient care, including intake and discharge, preoperative preparation, restraint, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, postoperative rechecks, and wellness exams. The role also handles surgical instrument cleaning, supply replenishment, kennel and equipment sanitation, and cross-training in the resident clinic. It is a non-exempt, full-time, hourly position requiring a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of veterinary medical or animal husbandry experience preferred, and requires alternating Tuesday-to-Saturday availability.
