Description
Veterinary externship program for DVM students to gain supervised hands-on experience in a small animal practice. Externs rotate for two to eight weeks, typically two or three weeks, and participate in patient care activities such as histories, physical exams, diagnostic and therapeutic planning, surgery assistance, wellness care, client communication, and medical record writing. The role provides a $250 weekly stipend and requires enrollment in an accredited DVM program, U.S. work authorization, and professional liability insurance.
