Description
An externship opportunity in a small animal veterinary practice designed for DVM students to gain hands-on clinical experience under veterinary supervision. Externs will participate in histories, physical exams, diagnostic and therapeutic planning, surgery assistance, medical case management, wellness care, client communication, and SOAP record writing. The program runs for two to eight weeks, typically two to three weeks, includes days/evenings/weekends, provides a $250 weekly stipend, and requires enrollment in an accredited DVM program, authorization to work in the United States, and professional liability insurance.
