Description
Veterinary externship program for students enrolled in accredited DVM programs to gain off-campus clinical experience in a small animal practice. Externs work under veterinary supervision, participating in patient care tasks such as histories, physical exams, diagnostic and therapeutic planning, surgery assistance, medical case management, wellness care, client communication, and medical record documentation. The role is flexible for two to eight weeks, typically two or three weeks, includes days/evenings/weekends, and provides a $250 per week stipend. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and carry professional liability insurance.
