Description
Veterinary externship program for DVM students in a small animal practice. Externs work under veterinary supervision for two to eight weeks (typically two to three weeks), participating in patient care, histories, physical exams, diagnostic and therapeutic planning, surgery assistance, medical case management, wellness care, client communication, and SOAP medical records. A stipend of $250 per week is provided, and applicants must be enrolled in an accredited DVM program, authorized to work in the United States, and carry professional liability insurance.
