The Veterinary Extern will work under the supervision of a veterinarian at Veterinary Care Group Greenpoint in Brooklyn, New York. Responsibilities include gathering patient histories, performing physical examinations, creating treatment plans, assisting with diagnostics, dentistry services, surgical procedures, and medical management, while also developing communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients. The externship typically lasts two to eight weeks and is open to veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education.
