Peaks View Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Extern in Lynchburg, Virginia, for a two- to eight-week externship during a student’s final clinical year of veterinary school. The extern will work with a supervising veterinarian to gather patient histories, perform physical examinations, develop treatment plans, conduct diagnostics, assist with or perform surgical procedures, manage patients medically, and communicate with the medical team, support staff, and clients. The role offers clinical experience in surgery and internal medicine, including dentistry services, and may include a travel and living expense stipend.
