Riverview Animal Hospital in Durango, Colorado, is offering a Veterinary Externship for DVM students in the clinical portion of their education. The extern will work with supervising DVMs to gather patient histories, perform physical examinations, develop treatment plans, assist with diagnostics and dentistry, observe or perform surgical procedures, manage patients medically, and communicate with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Externships typically last two to eight weeks, and eligible students may receive a $1,500 travel and living expense stipend.
