Lakeway Animal Hospital in Jefferson City, Tennessee, offers a Veterinary Externship for veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education. The extern will work with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gather patient histories, perform physical examinations, develop treatment plans, assist with diagnostics and dentistry, observe or perform surgical procedures, manage patients medically, and communicate with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
