Description
Veterinary externship program for DVM students to gain supervised hands-on experience in a small animal practice. Externs participate in patient care, including histories, physical exams, diagnostic and therapeutic planning, surgery assistance, wellness care, client communication, and medical record writing. The program lasts typically two to three weeks, offers flexible scheduling including days, evenings, and weekends, and provides a stipend of $250 per week. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited DVM program, authorized to work in the United States, and carry professional liability insurance.
