Description
VEG offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician Student Externship Program for students enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program. The externship provides hands-on emergency-medicine experience through shadowing, triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, inpatient care, and real-time mentoring with a credentialed veterinary technician. Students must be able to start within six months of application, have a current rabies vaccination or titer, and meet the program’s physical and work-environment requirements. The externship is flexible in length and location, with mentorship and future hiring opportunities for successful participants.
