Ford is hiring a Virtual ECU Simulation Engineer to develop and maintain electronic control unit simulations across Level 4 target-native hardware emulation and Level 3 host-native environments. The role supports virtual ECU prototyping for automotive software and control systems engineers, integrates simulation tools and vendors, troubleshoots hardware and software integration issues, automates test environments, and contributes to project roadmaps. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of simulation, virtualization, or system programming experience, and strong C/C++ and Python skills. The position is hybrid, may require onsite work at a Ford hub, and offers salary grades 7 and 8 ranging from $99,600 to $192,900.
