Matroid is hiring a Vision Language Model & Visual Foundation Model Forward Deployed Engineer to train and deploy vision-centric and vision-language models for industrial computer vision applications. The role covers model adaptation, evaluation, cloud and edge deployment, industrial system integration, customer enablement, and technical advising, with work based in the company’s downtown Palo Alto office. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, experience with modern visual recognition and vision-language models, strong Python skills, and familiarity with machine learning and computer vision frameworks.
