EUMETSAT is hiring a Machine Learning Application Developer in Darmstadt, Germany, to create data pipelines and curated machine-learning-ready datasets, develop and validate machine-learning models for Earth observation data, and support users and community development in weather forecasting, climate monitoring, and Earth system feature detection. The role requires a master’s or higher degree in a relevant computing or natural sciences subject, strong Python programming, machine-learning model development, experience with large datasets and cloud environments, and English proficiency; French is required for learning. The initial contract is four years, with subsequent five-year contracts possible, and the minimum basic salary is EUR 7,553 per month net of internal tax.
