EUMETSAT is hiring a Data Processing Systems Engineer in Darmstadt, Germany, to support the design, development, upgrade, verification, validation, integration, transition, and maintenance of data processing systems for satellite ground segments. The role covers requirements management, procurement follow-up, IV&V testing, task prioritisation, deliverable assessment, and long-term system roadmaps, with a focus on transitioning new missions from development to operations. Candidates need a relevant university degree, English proficiency, some French knowledge, and experience with data processing systems, software development lifecycles, change control, and IV&V activities. The initial contract is four years, with subsequent five-year contracts possible, and the minimum basic salary is EUR 7,553 per month net of internal tax.
