Description
The Adoption Counselor is a volunteer who assists potential adopters in selecting shelter animals, facilitates adoptions, handles and walks dogs, supports facility and animal cleaning, performs clerical and administrative tasks, and follows up with adopters. The role requires monthly availability, completion of required training, a valid Arizona driver’s license, acceptable driving history, background and possibly drug screening, and physical contact with dogs. It reports to a Volunteer Liaison or Coordinator of the assigned location.
