Description
Parkinson Canada is seeking a volunteer Support Group Facilitator in Amherst, Nova Scotia, to lead monthly support group discussions for people living with Parkinson’s and their care partners. The role requires an empathetic, inclusive, and nonjudgmental approach; active listening and communication skills; discussion facilitation; administrative and promotional support; technology proficiency; and, for in-person meetings, venue setup, teardown, and commuting. The commitment is 3–5 hours per month, including a monthly meeting on the first Wednesday from 1:00–3:00 PM Atlantic Time, for at least one year.
