Description
Coherent is hiring a Vice President (or SVP) of Research to lead its advanced research organization and report to the CTO. The role defines and executes a multi-year research roadmap, leads senior technical leaders and Principal Investigators, manages research programs and technology portfolios, develops and transitions technologies from concept through proof of feasibility and demonstrations, and aligns research with datacenter, communications, materials, industrial, and emerging-technology priorities. The position requires a PhD in a relevant field, at least 15 years of experience in photonics or optical communications, deep expertise in optical technologies, and a proven record leading research or advanced development teams.
