Description
Appear is hiring a VP Engineering-Software to lead the software side of its development department, including the software-defined media processing platform VX and the XM and Hub control and management layers. The role owns software engineering strategy and architecture, delivery and operational excellence, distributed team leadership, talent development, cross-functional partnerships, and AI-assisted development workflows. It requires technical leadership in broadcast, live production, or adjacent real-time and mission-critical domains, experience scaling software engineering teams of 25 or more, and practical experience with AI tools and agentic workflows. The position can be based in Oslo, Stockholm, or remotely within the EU/EEA/UK, with some international travel expected.
