Description
The Senior Director of Safety will provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of Cape Air’s safety strategy, safety programs, Safety Management System, investigations, workplace safety, crisis preparedness, regulatory compliance, and safety culture. The role advises the CEO, Accountable Executive, Board, and senior leadership; serves as a liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration and other regulatory agencies; and delegates day-to-day SMS execution to the Director of Safety. Qualifications include relevant FAA aviation certificates, a preferred bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field, preferred safety and management experience, and knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 91 and 135 operations.
