Description
The Associate Warden leads the overall administration, security, safety, compliance, operations, staffing, detainee care, and community relations of a correctional facility. Reporting to the Regional Facility Administrator, the role supervises multiple department heads, develops budgets and policies, manages audits and risk mitigation, and serves as the primary liaison with ICE, contract monitors, law enforcement, and other stakeholders. The position requires regular onsite attendance, long periods of standing and walking, and a Texas driver's license; it also requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and ten years of corrections or related experience, including associate-warden-level facility management experience.
