Description
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees workers and activities related to ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in stockrooms, warehouses, or yards. The role plans storage layouts, advises employees on handling and preservation, reviews inventory records, schedules inventories, resolves discrepancies, standardizes procedures, assigns work, and maintains worker harmony. It requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience, and experience managing people in a fast-paced environment; lean manufacturing, six sigma, and SAP experience are preferred. The position involves physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds and offers health insurance and other benefits.
