Description
The City of McPherson, Kansas is hiring a Wastewater Assistant Chief Operator to coordinate daily operations of its Wastewater Treatment Plant and support the Superintendent/Chief Operator. The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including process monitoring, maintenance coordination, laboratory oversight, regulatory reporting, staff training, industrial pretreatment and grease management, and plant operations in the absence of the Superintendent/Chief Operator. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of similar or related experience, Kansas Class IV Wastewater Operator Certification or a transferable comparable license, a valid Commercial Driver's License, and KWEA Class I Laboratory Analyst Certification or higher.
