Description
The Water Distribution Operator assists the Operations Supervisor and Controller Foreman in operating and maintaining the City’s water storage and distribution system. Responsibilities include monitoring water pressure and quality, using SCADA and AMI systems, operating pump stations and storage facilities, collecting bacteriological samples, recording system data, inspecting facilities, and supporting customers and engineers. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two to five years of related experience or training, a valid driver’s license, and a Class IV Water Distribution Operator License or ability to obtain one. It is safety-sensitive, full-time, pays $22.04–$24.24 per hour, and requires residents to live within a 30-minute radius of the Water Utilities Office.
