Description
The West Suburban YMCA is hiring Water Polo Coaches for its Aquatics Department. The role provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation to youth swimmers, teaches water polo fundamentals including treading water, passing, shooting, offensive and defensive play, teamwork, and safe practice and game environments. Coaches will also build relationships with swimmers and parents, support diversity and inclusion, communicate program information, attend practices and games, maintain records, follow safety procedures, and organize equipment. Applicants must be at least 18, hold CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications, have USA Water Polo Certification, know water polo rules and competition management, and be able to relate effectively to diverse community groups.
