Description
MBDA is hiring a Weapon Systems Algorithms Engineer for a one-year undergraduate placement starting September 2027. The role develops and optimises algorithms for weapon systems, including routing, mission-planning decision aids, threat evaluation, weapon assignment, multi-weapon cooperation, and machine-learning applications for air-to-air combat. The engineer will support MBDA project teams on programmes such as FCAS, STRATUS, and DragonFire, with 2–3 days per week on-site and a salary of £24,460. Applicants must be current undergraduates working toward a degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science; experience with MATLAB or Python is advantageous.
