Description
The Weapons Safety Manager serves as the weapons safety advisor to the Commander, senior leaders, and field safety staff, managing and developing command-wide explosives, weapons, missile, nuclear, and Directed Energy Weapons programs. The role oversees explosives safety criteria, site planning, policy, compliance inspections, mishap investigations, hazard controls, training, and safety program implementation across Air Force installations, Air Force Research Laboratory, and contractor operations. Applicants must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related safety or occupational health field, or equivalent education and experience, and at least one year of specialized weapons safety experience.
