The Weather Forecaster/Observer performs meteorological weather watch duties, including taking, evaluating, recording, and disseminating surface weather observations (METAR/SPECI), issuing Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts, writing DD-175-1s, and providing weather watches, warnings, and advisories. This role involves monitoring radar and satellite imagery, receiving and disseminating PIREPs, and conducting flight weather briefings.
