Description
BAE Systems is hiring an experienced Welder for its Glasgow Govan and Scotstoun site to support the production of Type 26 frigates. The role is onsite and involves welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium using MMA, MAG, MIG, FCAW, submerged arc, and BUG-O processes, producing high-quality butt and fillet welds, self-verifying weld quality, and working safely in line with SHE requirements. Candidates must provide a Modern Apprenticeship/Trade Papers and relevant mechanical qualifications such as SVQ3 or City & Guilds, and should have experience with ceramic-tile welding, NDE standards, automated welding systems, and maritime, construction, manufacturing, or similar environments.
