Description
The Welder manufactures major assemblies for refuse truck products using MIG welding machines and mild steel ranging from 14 gauge to 1.5 inches in thickness. Responsibilities include planning work procedures, repairing and fabricating equipment, monitoring welding and fitting processes, preparing and tacking weld parts, working with minimal supervision after training, maintaining equipment and work areas, and reporting faulty equipment or defective materials. The role requires an accomplished welder who can pass a company weld test, formal apprenticeship completion or successful completion of an in-company two-year training program, and the ability to weld in vertical, flat, or overhead positions.
