Description
BAE Systems is hiring an experienced Welder for its Maritime Sector in Glasgow (Govan and Scotstoun) to support Type 26 frigate construction. The role is onsite and involves welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium using MMA, MAG, MIG, FCAW, and automated/semi-automatic processes, with a strong emphasis on weld quality, self-verification, safety, and compliance. Candidates must have a Modern Apprenticeship/Trade Papers and relevant mechanical qualifications, along with experience in ceramic-tile welding, NDE-quality welds, carbon-steel thicknesses of 4–15 mm, and shipbuilding or similar environments.
