Description
The Welder / Fitter fits, assembles, and welds carbon steel and stainless steel components to specifications, drawings, weld maps, AWS symbols, tight tolerances, and quality standards. Responsibilities include setting up and operating welding equipment, regulating gases, performing varied-position welds, inspecting and repairing welds, grinding and cleaning finished welds, tracking materials, performing basic manual lathe operations, and following safety procedures. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience or training are required; ASME Section IX certification, lathe skills, ERP familiarity, and Microsoft Office knowledge are preferred or beneficial.
