Description
Navantia UK is hiring a full-time permanent Welder to perform manual or machine welding of fillet and butt welds on structural and fabricated steel parts, assemblies, units, blocks, and ship structures. The role involves interpreting welding symbols and procedures, setting up equipment and LEV systems, performing flat and positional welding, checking and grinding welds, and using automated welding equipment where qualified. Candidates must have heavy steel plate welding experience, valid ISO9606-1 fillet and butt welding qualifications, and the ability to pass a trade test. The position pays £18.55 per hour and includes pro rata holiday, a company pension, and optional health care and cycle-to-work benefits.
