Description
GKN Aerospace is hiring a full-time, permanent Welder at its Filton site to support the manufacture of aircraft parts and structural wing assemblies for civil and military aircraft. The role involves fabrication work using industry equipment and processes such as precision riveting, drill/ream/countersink, SAP work-phase clearance, and adherence to quality, health and safety, and housekeeping standards. Candidates need a relevant apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, manufacturing experience, and the ability to work to standard operating procedures and in small teams; desirable experience includes Lean manufacturing, CNC machinery, and swaging pipework.
