The Welder is responsible for identifying materials, preparing and fitting components, welding and fabricating mechanical structures, cleaning welds, and inspecting them against engineering callouts and ASME specifications. The role requires knowledge of metal properties, welding equipment and procedures including GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW, technical-document interpretation, safety practices, and at least one year of welding and fabrication experience.
