Antares is hiring a Welding Engineer II to support the development, qualification, and production of welded hardware for reactor systems. The role owns welding processes from early design and material selection through procedure development, qualification, manufacturing, inspection, testing, and final acceptance. Responsibilities include developing WPS and PQR, selecting welding processes and filler metals, providing design-for-welding guidance, troubleshooting fabrication issues, creating work instructions and inspection criteria, conducting weld qualification and nondestructive testing, investigating defects, and overseeing welding suppliers. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or materials field and at least two years of professional welding engineering or welded hardware manufacturing experience, with a Torrance, California work location.
