Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Welding Engineer for an onsite role in Sheffield, with hybrid and flexible working options available. The position supports defence manufacturing by investigating welding defects, developing and maintaining Welding Procedure Specifications and Procedure Qualification Records, reviewing non-conformances, supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and maintaining welding documentation and traceability. Candidates need experience qualifying WPS and PQR in regulated manufacturing, knowledge of welding coordination and ISO 3834 or PED standards, experience in defence, aerospace, pressure-vessel, oil and gas, or similar regulated industries, and technical knowledge of TIG and PAW welding. The role is for BAE Systems employees who have completed 12 months in their current role, and the closing date was 9 October 2026.
