Description
The Welding Engineer develops welding techniques, processes, equipment applications, and documentation for quality fabrication products while supporting customer requirements and manufacturing plans. The role coordinates welding procedures, PQRs and WPSs, welder performance qualifications, fixtures, technical troubleshooting, inspections, vendor coordination, customer interfaces, and training. It requires a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a welding emphasis or equivalent experience, at least four years of progressive welding experience, and AWS or CWI certification is preferred. The position is based at Major Tool & Machine’s Indianapolis manufacturing facility and offers health, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
