Description
SGS is seeking a Welding/Mechanical Inspector for intermittent contract quality-assurance work in Casper, Wyoming and San Diego, California. The role inspects welds, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, expansion joints, and related equipment; verifies compliance with ASME, API, NBIC, and other regulations; reviews WPS/PQR documents; witnesses and verifies non-destructive testing; performs visual, dimensional, in-service, turnaround, and risk-based inspections; documents non-conformities; and supports corrective actions. Candidates need at least one AWS CWI, API 510, or API 570 credential, five years of industrial welding-related inspection experience, and experience in oil and gas, power and utility, construction, or manufacturing. The schedule is intermittent and subject to project requirements, with pay of $45 to $50 per hour.
