Description
The Welding Process Engineer will improve welding process capability, throughput, automation, and production efficiency across aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper-nickel shipbuilding operations. The role covers welding metallurgy, WPS development, root-cause analysis, process documentation, NDT coordination, equipment evaluation, lean and continuous improvement, KPI monitoring, cost analysis, training, and compliance with ABS, AWS, and EHS standards. It reports to the Director of Manufacturing, requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of welding process engineering experience, and operates on a Monday–Thursday 6:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and Friday 6:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. first-shift schedule with some flexibility.
