Description
The Weld Engineer will work at the investment casting facility in La Porte, Indiana, improving and controlling weld repair and fabrication of super-alloy castings while ensuring welds meet Class “A” requirements. Responsibilities include training TIG welders, monitoring welder performance and certification, planning repairs, monitoring quality yields, developing welding techniques and equipment improvements, managing materials and work instructions, maintaining personal certification, supporting third-party audits, and purchasing welding tools and fixturing. The role requires an associate degree in a welding-related field, at least two years of manufacturing or TIG-welding experience, and two years of TIG-welder training experience; visa sponsorship is not available.
