Description
This role involves developing and optimizing wet etch processes for various optoelectronic devices like VCSELs, photodiodes, and edge-emitting lasers on GaAs and InP substrates. The individual will define and control etch chemistry parameters, utilize metrology tools for process characterization, troubleshoot deviations, and integrate etch processes into semiconductor fabrication flows. They will also establish SPC methodologies, evaluate new chemistries, develop documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
